Complementary and Alternative Medicine Masters Program Mind-Body Research A student perspective by Greg Wong and Kamal Shah (CAM '05) |

|
The goal of the mind-body research is to qualify and quantify the changes in attitude after having taken the mind-body skills course. The challenge is to distinguish what is a meaningful change in attitude and what is not. Although a preliminary pilot study has shown a slight shift towards a more positive attitude, we are continuing to collect data with each mind-body skills course in order to increase the sample size, effectively increasing the power of the study. With more data, the hope is to better understand the effects of mind-body. Since results may pose a source of bias on future participants, none will be posted.
